Antique Pen Nibs (Real Steel!) $6.00
Holder: $3.00
Mary uses pen nibs made from Pre-War steel. The last time they were manufactured was 1927. These nibs are very stiff, and do not split as readily as the popular nibs made today. It is an open ended nib, not a small cylinder that can become clogged with paint and oils. It fits a standard "Speedball" type of holder. Mary sells these nibs for $6.00 each and if you need a holder it is $3.00. Because the steel is so strong, the nib writes very nicely for a very long time. When it does wear down a bit, Mary puts the nib in a box with others that have worn down and uses those for any calligraphy (lettering) she needs to do.
Here is the nib and the holder:
People who try this pen buy more, every time! Mary ships them all over the globe, as you cannot buy a better pen than this amazing Esterbrook nib. They were manufactured for school children in the 19-teens and 20's.
Judy Jaussaud: Black Satin Matte Paint $6.00
Judy Jaussaud's Black Satin is the most smooth and most black matte paint available for painting on porcelain. It sells for $6.00 per package, and is in small bags for convenient shipping.
Payment is accepted in three forms:
Paypal: www.paypal.com is accepted, if you have an account: simply email marygosden@yahoo.com and let Mary know how many packets you require.
Credit Card: To use a credit card, phone Mary at 315-655-3546 or 516-508-2392 and give her your credit card information.
Checks: Email Mary or call her and to her know how much you are ordering. When your check arrives in the mail, your order will be shipped.
See the examples below, illustrating how Black Satin can be used. Mary mixes it with open medium like all her paints, and simply uses it where she wants a deep, matte black. Sometimes large areas, but usually as a good contrast next to a lustre. Black Satin also makes a super pen ink. Mix a bit more open medium with it until it will run with your pen. Fire at any porcelain paint temperature, like Cone 017 or hotter.
